Introducing YBBC
In March 2019, SoMe Brewing Company opened the doors of our second Brewery & Tasting Room, right in the heart of York Beach, under the name York Beach Beer Company. From our laid back, fun in the sun atmosphere to our approachable beers, we are happy to be a Short Sands business that is open year round! Whether you are visiting or a local, we hope you make YBBC a part of your Maine experience.
Our Story
After securing the old Post Office building at 33 Railroad Avenue in Short Sands and installing a 10 barrel brewhouse, York Beach Beer Company officially opened on March 9, 2019, as the “sister brewery” to SoMe. With a lot more on their plate between two breweries, Dave & David were able to bring on their daughter/sister Sarah as General Manager of both locations. The Beach features it’s own lineup of “session-able” beach style brews in a fun, laid-back environment right off of Short Sands Beach. Just like SoMe, The Beach offers a variety of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. We are happy to be open YEAR ROUND, providing our locals (and tourists alike!) with a place they can rely on for fun times and good drinks.
